Nancy Casserley Elected Board Chair
At its 128th Annual Meeting on October 24th, Family Centers’ Board of Directors and Trustees elected Nancy Casserley to the position of Board Chair.
Since joining the Board of Directors in 2015, Casserley has been involved in the planning and execution of the agency’s governance and program development initiatives. She serves on Family Centers’ Health Care Connections Committee, which oversees the strategy and performance of Family Centers’ Federally Qualified Health Center and its other health-related services. She also served on the agency's Governance Committee.
While serving on Family Centers’ Development Committee, Casserley hosted two benefit galas and chaired a Titan Series breakfast featuring former HP CEO Meg Whitman. She has previously served as Board Vice Chair and Board Secretary.
Casserley succeeds Susan Yonce, who served as Board Chair for two years.
Casserley holds a BA from Princeton University, a JD from the University of Virginia School of Law and an MA from the Royal College of Art (UK). She lives in Greenwich with her husband, Dominic. They have three children.
In addition to Casserley’s appointment, Family Centers Board also elected Kate Clark and Jean Witmer to the positions to Vice Chair and Secretary, respectively. Nicki Rose was also named Assistant Secretary.
Family Centers is a private, nonprofit organization offering heath, education and human services to children, adults and families in Fairfield County. More than 200 professionals and 1,200 trained volunteers work together to provide a wide range of responsive, innovative programs. A United Way, Community Fund of Darien and New Canaan Community Foundation partner agency, Family Centers is a member of the Connecticut Council of Family Service Agencies and is accredited by The Joint Commission and the National Association for the Education of Young Children (NAEYC).
