Board Member David Ball Honored for Volunteer Service
Board Member David Ball was honored for his dedication to improving the lives of area families during The Community Fund of Darien’s annual Darien Volunteer Day Awards ceremony.
The event, held Tuesday, May 21 at the Darien Community Association, honored the selfless work of over three dozen area youth and adult volunteers.
Ball’s roots with Family Centers run deep. In addition to serving on the Board of Directors since 2015, he has been a longtime supporter of Family Centers and its 25 health, education and human service programs. His mother, Anne, was also a longtime Board Member and served as Family Centers’ Board Chair for four years.
As an investment advisor for UBS, Ball has provided counsel on Family Centers’ endowment fund. He is also a staunch supporter of literacy-related initiatives, and co-chaired Family Centers' Scrabble Challenge to benefit Literacy Volunteers in 2017 and 2018.
