Best-Selling Author Anna Quindlen to Speak at Center for HOPE Annual Luncheon April 28

AnnaQuindlen.jpgHaving written such best-selling novels as One True Thing, Black and Blue and Blessings, Anna Quindlen has become one of America's most poignant literary voices.

On Wednesday, April 28, Ms. Quindlen will bring her unique wit and wisdom to Darien as she headlines the Center for HOPE's Annual Luncheon.  The event will begin at 11 a.m. at the Woodway Country Club, located at 540 Hoyt Street in Darien.

Co-sponsored by Barrett Bookstore in Darien, the Annual Luncheon is the Center for HOPE's largest fundraiser of the year.  All proceeds will benefit the Center for HOPE and The Den for Grieving Kids - Family Centers' bereavement and critical illness support programs.  VIP seating and opportunities to meet Mrs. Quindlen are available.

Tickets and sponsorship information is available now by clicking here or by calling Gloria Veeder at 203-869-4848.  View our sponsors here.

Like many clients and supporters of the Center for HOPE, Quindlen's life has been touched by cancer.  Having lost her mother to ovarian cancer when she was 19, much of Quindlen's personal writing focuses on the lessons that can be learned following the death of a loved one.

Quindlen is known the world over for her honest and poignant views on modern American life.  In her new book, Every Last One, Quindlen creates an unforgettable portrait a family and the explosive, violent consequences of what seem like inconsequential actions.  In addition to her fiction works, she has penned six non-fiction books and has been a regular contributor to Newsweek.
