Like many clients and supporters of the Center for HOPE, Quindlen's life has been touched by cancer. Having lost her mother to ovarian cancer when she was 19, much of Quindlen's personal writing focuses on the lessons that can be learned following the death of a loved one.
Quindlen is known the world over for her honest and poignant views on modern American life. In her new book, Every Last One, Quindlen creates an unforgettable portrait a family and the explosive, violent consequences of what seem like inconsequential actions. In addition to her fiction works, she has penned six non-fiction books and has been a regular contributor to Newsweek.
