December 16, 2012 - Family Centers Offers Open Discussion Groups in Wake of Newtown Tragedy
In light of the recent tragedy in Newtown, Family Centers will offer an open discussion for parents, caregivers and educators. This discussion will allow adults an opportunity to talk about the events, the impact it has had on their children, ask for advice on how to talk to their children about trauma and receive feedback from professionals.

Family Centers, along with the Darien Library and other community providers, will offer two additional groups. These will be held on Monday, December 18 at 10 a.m. and Wednesday, December 19 at 7 p.m. in the Darien Library Community Room.
In addition, Family Centers' clinical services and Trauma Response Team are available to those impacted by this devastating event. Our team of specialists provide on-site counseling and Critical Incident Stress Management (CISM)/Psychological First Aid services to schools, organizations or businesses to assist in traumatic or crisis situations.
