In 2011, Family Centers unveiled a new program focusing on an area in which the organization has always excelled - customer service. Called CSI:FC (short for Customer Service Initiative: Family Centers), the purpose of program is to celebrate Family Centers' rich culture of excellent service delivery, while identifying ways to improve.
A committee of peer-nominated staff members developed a set of Standards of Excellence , which incorporate Family Centers' organizational value statement and provide employees guidelines and behaviors that should be considered when working with customers. Each Family Centers employee was given a copy of these standards, and agreed to sign a form pledging to keep them in mind while assisting customers.
A rewards and recognition arm of the CSI:FC program was recently rolled out to celebrate staff's accomplishments, and reinforce the importance of customer service. Branding and Feedback portions of the program are also expected to be introduced soon.
CSI:FC Mission Statement: Using the seven Standards of Excellence as a guide, Family Centers’ Customer Service Initiative (CSI) provides all staff with the tools to administer the highest quality experience for all internal and external customers.
