Red Ribbon Foundation Awards Grant to Family Centers' HIV/AIDS Outreach Program
Thanks to the generosity of local organizations like the Red Ribbon Foundation, Fairfield County residents living with HIV/AIDS can continue to access the services they so desperately need.
Family Centers recently received a $10,000 grant from the Red Ribbon Foundation, which will be used to fund direct care services offered through its Stamford CARES Program. Stamford CARES is the lead HIV program in the community offerering medical case management, mental health services, emergency financial assistance and housing coordination for adults and families living with HIV/AIDS in Stamford, Greenwich and New Canaan.
Based in Greenwich, the Red Ribbon Foundation is the leading AIDS fundraising organization in Connecticut. The Foundation has awarded close to $1.8 million to various recipient organizations that demonstrate results - as well as promising ideas - for preventing the spread of AIDS. These grants fund prevention education programs for high-risk individuals, cutting-edge research to eradicate the disease, and assistance programs for those living with HIV/AIDS.
