Fostering Independence
Learning to balance work, home life, financial and housing issues is a challenge for many of us.  It’s even more of a struggle for disadvantaged and underserved populations.  Through vocational and career training, housing resources, counseling and self-sufficiency programs, Family Centers helps low-income people and those with long-term mental illness realize their dreams of living independently.  

Charter Oak Communities Collaborative 
HOPE VI assists low-income families living in Stamford Public Housing achieve greater self-sufficiency through counseling, vocational training and case management services.

Housing Resource Program
The Housing Resource Program locates safe and affordable housing throughout Fairfield County for clients living with long-term mental illness.  Counseling and support services are also offered.

Reaching Independence Through Employment (RITE)
RITE helps low-income individuals and families attain a greater sense of self-sufficiency through counseling, goal planning, job-skills training, life skills and family support.  Services are offered in Stamford and Greenwich.

Young Parents Program (YPP)
YPP supports pregnant teens and young mothers as they transition into their roles as parents.  In addition to providing prenatal/parenting education and support, YPP clinicians help young parents further their educational and vocation goals.
