March 16, 2006 "Family Centers Names New Director of Clinical and Outreach Services"

Image Family Centers recently announced the appointment of Leslie P. Sexer, LCSW to director of clinical and outreach services.  Sexer will be based out of Family Centers' Stamford offices.     

 

In her new role, Sexer is responsible for the operation and development of the Intensive Family Preservation, Family Reunification and Family Strengthening programs, as well as other outreach programs servicing lower Fairfield County.  She will also be an integral member of Family Centers' clinical team.

Before joining Family Centers, Sexer was the employee assistance program coordinator at Family Services of Westchester in Mt. Kisko, NY.  While there, she also held positions as a psychotherapist and graduate student supervisor.  A licensed clinical social worker, Sexer also served as a psychiatric social worker at Phelps Memorial Hospital Center in Sleepy Hollow, NY.  

Sexer earned a bachelor's degree in social work from the State University of New York at Albany.  She also holds a masters degree in social work from Hunters College.  Sexer lives in White Plains, NY.

Family Centers is a private, nonprofit organization offering education and human services to children, adults and families in Fairfield County. More than 600 professionals and trained volunteers work together to provide a wide range of responsive, innovative programs. A United Way partner agency, Family Centers is a member of the Connecticut Council of Family Service Agencies and the Alliance for Children and Families and is accredited by the Council on Accreditation (COA) and the National Association for the Education of Young Children (NAEYC). The agency is licensed by the State of Connecticut Department of Public Health.
