Family Centers realizes its mission through five Centers of Excellence, which offer programs spanning the continuum of life.

Bright Beginnings
A solid educational foundation is an important aspect of any child’s development.  Family Centers’ Head Start preschools and NAEYC accredited, curriculum based Early Childhood Education programs provide children with the skills they need to succeed in the classroom.  Along with school-based social work, parental education and adolescent counseling services, Family Centers supports families to ensure their children have the bright beginnings they deserve.  

Families in Crisis
A crisis can happen at a moment’s notice, and can penetrate the fabric of even the strongest families.  Whether it’s learning to cope with a divorce, mental illness or the loss of the loved one, the circumstances surrounding a difficult situation are often unique as the needs of those affected.  Family Centers’ comprehensive network of counseling, support and referral services is instrumental in helping families in crisis work toward a successful resolution.

Fostering Independence
Learning to balance work, home life, financial and housing issues is a challenge for many of us.  It’s even more of a struggle for disadvantaged and underserved populations.  Through vocational and career training, housing resources, counseling and self sufficiency programs, Family Centers helps low-income people and those with long-term mental illness realize their dreams of living independently.  

Healthy Aging
More than ever, people are leading active lives well into their “golden years.”  At the same time, many people over the age of 65 struggle with chronic illness and isolation issues.  To meet the diverse needs of the senior community, Family Centers offers an array of services that encourage lifelong learning, socialization and support.

Workplace Resources
Satisfied employees lead to more productive outcomes in the workplace.  Family Centers’ WorkLife Solutions provides comprehensive employee assistance programs, work-life services and management consultation to area businesses, schools, organizations and municipalities.
