Family Centers Offers Support to Those Affected by Haiti Earthquake
In the wake of the terrible earthquake that struck Haiti, Family Centers is reaching out to Haitian-Americans in the lower Fairfield County area who may be coping with emotional stress brought on by this tragedy. Understanding how difficult it must be for area residents to watch the news and wonder about the welfare of family and friends back home in Haiti, Family Centers is offering counseling and trauma response services to those in need.
With the assisitance of other local outreach resources, Family Centers' staff of experienced clinical social workers is available to provide Haitian-Americans with services at locations at a variety of locations including schools, churches, community centers and housing developments. Counseling sessions can also be held at Family Centers' offices at 60 Palmer's Hill Road in Stamford.
If you or someone you know is in need of help during this difficult time, please call Deirdre Lewin at 203-324-3167 ext. 5116 or email
