"Hope Lights Lives" Illuminates Communities Across Fairfield County
On Dec. 20, the light of nearly 7,500 luminary candles provided a warm holiday glow to neighborhoods throughout Fairfield County as Family Centers celebrated the culmination of its annual "Hope Lights Lives" campaign.
The annual fundraiser has become a holiday tradition, as hundreds of residents in Darien, Fairfield, Greenwich, New Canaan, Norwalk, Southport, Stamford, Weston and Wilton display the luminaries outside their homes to celebrate the season and remember those grieving the loss of a loved one or coping with a critical illness.
All proceeds from the sale of "Hope Lights Lives" luminary kits benefit the Center for HOPE and The Den for Grieving Kids, Family Centers' programs offering bereavement counseling and support services to people struggling with grief or illness.
Luminary Kits are still available to residents looking to add beautiful ambiance to their Christmas celebrations. To purchase a kit securely online, click here.
This year's campaign kicked off on Dec. 6, as thousands of luminaries lined the perimeters of Tilley Pond in Darien and Binney Park in Greenwich. To see photos from this year's campaign, visit Family Centers' Facebook page.
Special thanks to all our town & block captains, volunteers, sponsors and supporters for helping to make this year's campaign a success. Happy Holidays from all of us at Family Centers!
