Friendly Connections to Hold Volunteer Training and Open House Oct. 22

Friendly Connections is now recruiting for volunteers to join our team.  On Thursday, Oct. 22 from 4-6 p.m. at Family Centers' 40 Arch Street office in Greenwich, the program will offer a volunteer training and open house for anyone interested in assisting older adults in the community.   

This is a great opportunity to learn more about Family Centers, Friendly Connections and the wide variety of volunteer opportunities that exist.  Use this free occasion to identify community resources and obtain helpful information about working with older adults. Refreshments will be served.

Friendly Connections offers comprehensive support and wellness services to seniors living in Fairfield County. To allow older adults to participate from the comfort of their own homes, all groups and classes take place over the telephone. In addition to the numerous telephone groups accessed by hundreds of seniors, Friendly Connections also provides one-on-one companionship and support to homebound seniors through its Friendly Caller and Friendly Visitor programs.
