Sept. 22, 2008 "Suzanne Vega to Headline Benefit Concert for Family Centers"
Suzanne Vega and Chris Barron of the Spin Doctors to Headline Benefit Concert for Family Centers

ImageRed Lotus Productions presents a special concert experience with Grammy® nominated singer/songwriter Suzanne Vega to benefit Family Centers on Thursday, Nov. 13 at the Palace Theater in Stamford.  The show will begin at 8 p.m.

Known for such hits as "Luka" and "Tom's Diner", Vega has thrilled music fans for nearly 25 years with her introspective lyrics and unique folk-inspired sound.  Her seven studio albums have sold nearly 9 million records worldwide, and her songs have appeared on countless television and film soundtracks.  Vega also continues to influence artists from all genres, as samples of her music have been used in songs by R.E.M., Public Enemy and Lil' Kim.

Chris Barron, lead singer of the popular 1990’s rock act the Spin Doctors, will also perform.  Behind hits like “Two Princes” and “Little Miss Can’t Be Wrong”, the Spin Doctors’ debut album, A Pocket Full of Kryptonite, catapulted the band to superstar status.

ImageTickets for the event are currently on sale at the Palace Theater Box Office, located at 61 Atlantic Street in Stamford, or online at www.SCALive.org.  Prices range from $30 - $80.  Special VIP "Meet and Greet" packages are also available for $150.  A portion of the show's proceeds will help fund Family Centers' 30 human service and education programs.  For information, call the Palace Theater box office at 203-325-4466.

Red Lotus Productions (RLP) produces and promotes educational fundraising and awareness raising events for other charities through the arts, while highlighting the importance of local art - especially performing arts.
