‘Castaway’ Benefit Nets $785,000 for Family Centers Four hundred guests threw their fate to the wind and joined Family Centers for a shipwrecked experience they won’t soon forget. Held at the home of Arlene and Reuben Mark, the Castaway: Shipwrecked in Belle Haven benefit raised more than $785,000 for Family Centers’ 30 education and human service programs. Co Chairs Mimi Tabah, Arlene Mark & Leigh Carpenter Castaways were welcomed ashore to the sounds of the Blue Flame Steel Band while sipping “Deserted Island Punch” from coconut shell cups. Before sitting down to an island feast prepared by Watson’s Catering, they also mingled with famous castaways Lovey and Thurston Howell, III from “Gilligan’s Island." And as the tropical moon hung high overhead, ETA Music got the island hoppin’ with a mix of the best party tunes. Castaway: Shipwrecked in Belle Haven was co-chaired by Board Members Leigh Carpenter, Arlene Mark and Mimi Tabah.
