Center for HOPE’s Annual Luncheon and Fashion Show a SuccessThe Center for HOPE recently held its Annual Luncheon and Fashion Show, and turned Darien’s Wee Burn Country Club into a scene straight from New York’s Fashion Week. The Annual Luncheon and Fashion Show, which was chaired by Darien residents Jane Frank and Carolyne McEnery, celebrated the Center’s 25th anniversary. More than 200 guests watched models strut the runway in the latest spring fashions from Saks Fifth Avenue in Greenwich and precious jewelry from Betteridge Jewelers. Hair and make-up design was generously provided by Peartee’s Salon in Darien. The nearly $80,000 that was raised directly benefited the Center for HOPE, a Darien-based agency that provides bereavement and illness support services to adults and children living in Darien, Greenwich, New Canaan, Stamford, Westport, Weston and Norwalk. The Center for HOPE is a division of Family Centers – a private, nonprofit organization offering education and human services to children, adults and families in Fairfield County. Special thanks to our sponsors: The Windmill Foundation, Kelly Associates Real Estate, the M. Bonnie Axthelm Foundation, Joan Melber Warburg, Rings End Lumber, Darien Rowayton Bank, Patriot National Bank, Wheeler Real Estate, MasterCard International, The Rainbow Shoppe and Kitchens by Deane. Sweet Lisa’s Exquisite Cakes of Greenwich also designed a special cake to commemorate the Center for HOPE’s 25th anniversary.
