Branch Financial Center Manager Sally Nelson recently visited the Head Start Preschool to take photos of the 35 children enrolled.  Citibank employees then framed and wrapped each photo so the children can give them to their parents on Valentine’s Day. 

Family Centers’ Head Start Preschool and Citibank’s Railroad Avenue Financial Center. branch have enjoyed a successful relationship since November. 2006.  Each month, Citibank employees visit the Head Start Preschool to read, play and lead special arts projects with the children.  In the coming months, Citibank also plans to hold financial education seminars for Head Start staff and parents.   

Operated by Family Centers, the Head Start Preschool offers education programs for three and four year-old children of families residing in Greenwich public and subsidized housing.  Head Start emphasizes parent involvement to encourage and support children’s educational and social development.
