Money will be used to help support illness and bereavement support programs

Splash Car Washes recently helped ensure that quality support services remain available to people living in lower Fairfield County.

Earlier this week, the Splash location in Darien presented the Center for Hope with a check for $2,755 to help fund the program's bereavement and illness support services.  Splash's Stamford location also presented The Den for Grieving Kids with $1,115.

“Thanks to the generosity of community partners like Splash, children and adults in need continue to have a place where they can begin the healing process,” said Deirdre Lewin, director of the Center for Hope and The Den for Grieving Kids. 

 The money represents a percentage of the proceeds from Splash's annual Christmas gift card sale.  Every year, Splash locations in Connecticut and New York adopt local charities and earmark part of the proceeds from gift card sales to those charitable organizations.

Operated by Family Centers, the Center for Hope and The Den for Grieving Kids offer illness and bereavement support programs for children and adults.  Through support groups, individual counseling, mentoring programs and therapy modalities, clients are able to restore hope and learn to cope with their loss.
