Community Brings Holiday Cheer to Local Families
For the 8th consecutive year, Family Centers' "Adopt-a-Family" holiday giving program provided much-needed cheer to local residents struggling to make ends meet.
Each year, dozens of individuals, corporations, civic groups and families purchase gifts, toys and basic living necessities to make the holidays less stressful for Family Centers' neediest clients.
This year, the wish lists of 68 families were fully fulfilled by our generous donors. Since the Adopt-a-Family's program's inception in 2009, the holiday giving effort has seen tremendous growth. This year alone, 23 donors participated for the first time.
Thanks to Family Centers' Board Members John Horton and David Van Dyke for co-chairing this year's drive. Most importantly, thanks to our many generous donors for brightening the holidays for our families.
